And what a journey.
We left Buckingham Palace at 6am local time on Friday and made it to the ferry in Harwich 12 hours later. Given that's a distance of 150km, we averaged a mighty 12km/h! Which was perfect for us to absorb the cheers (and strange looks) given to us by many people along the way
The overnight ferry arrived at Hook of Holland at 8am the following morning. The remaining distance of 100km was mostly along the coast of Holland, sandwiched between the sea and rolling sand dunes. We arrived at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam after a further 10 hour cycle time. Our thirsy was quenched by some of The Netherlands' most famous beverage ;-)
Thanks to everyone's fantastic support and generosity, we managed to raise £16,000 for KEEN London. This will enable them to support an additional 75 families for 12 months. Very proud to have been part of this.
