Ben’s back on his feet in Alpes-Maritimes

This was the first time I had run in six weeks following a grade 1 tear of my left calf sustained on an innocuous run home from work. After a lot of strength work and support from our friends at Pure it feels great to be back on my feet.

The guys at Pure asked me to send them some running footage so here it is! Still slightly unbalanced on my left side. Lots to work on but running at least!

It’s going to be a long journey to get marathon fit by January let alone run seven of them in seven days. But it’s a great adventure to be sharing with five super lads…

"by endurance we conquer”.

Great support from my very devoted coach… “Run daddy, run!” will no doubt be ringing in my ears when the going gets tough in January.

I’ve had to do lots of ‘plyometrics’ (jump training) and skipping over the last few weeks to strengthen my legs. It’s been fun to focus on something else however I hadn’t quite appreciated how terrible my balance is!
